Duty Manager: Responsibilities
Reporting directly to Hotel Manager, your position is a key contributor to the hotels' success. Your primary focus in your role as Duty Manager, working alongside the operational managers, is to ensure the perfect execution of the hotel’s operation, ensuring we are delivering exceptional standards and a fantastic, authentic, and memorable service to every guest, in a safe and welcoming environment. In our 24-hour business, our Duty Manager will mainly cover evenings and weekends when business is at its peak.

The ideal Duty Manager will understand what amazing hospitality looks like, have a passion for exceptional customer service, thrive in a busy environment and have a positive relentlessness to work at their best every day. As part of your role, you will be responsible for managing any emergency situations that occur during your shift, so experience in crisis management and evacuations is important.
Duty Manager: Requirements
You will have a minimum of 3 years proven management experience in a high-volume customer service environment, ideally within the hospitality or service industry. We’re looking for candidates who can show they are:
- a strong and charismatic people person able to communicate across at all levels
- emotionally intelligent – with an understanding of what makes individuals “tick”
- forward thinking with a focus on exacting standards of operation – a passion for standards and service
- quality focused – understanding the needs of the customer and is happy to be targeted on providing great service
- calm and assured under pressure – well organised and structured in approach.
