Sodexo Live! have a fantastic opportunity for two talented Senior Chef De Parties to join our first-class team at Brighton and Hove Albion Football Club!

Sodexo support with the hospitality at Brighton and Hove Football club both on Match Days and for Events; this is an exciting time to join us as giving you the opportunity to create and produce a wide range of pastry, dessert and on site produced items supporting the fine dining and events business.

In this diverse role you will be able to use your creative skill set and imagination to bring a gastronomic flair to Brighton. You will support and report into the Executive Head Chef. We are seeking someone with a passionate interest in the catering industry, knowledge of current trends and someone who is excited about food. You... will also have the ability to plan, execute and monitor exceptional Food Safety and Health and Safety standards in event business.

Role Responsibility

  • Preparation and creation of all items within the operation
  • Ensuring the kitchen areas are clean and tidy
  • Health and safety regulations, ensuring they are always followed
  • Delivering a world class customer experience to our customers and staff
  • Assisting in all areas of the kitchen for breakfast, lunch and hospitality
  • Assisting the Exe Head Chef or Head Chef Production with paperwork including stock ordering
  • Menu planning
  • Menu costings


The Ideal Candidate

  • Demonstrate experience in fine dining operations
  • A passionate interest in the catering industry - knowledge of current trends, well read, eats out of interesting restaurants on a regular basis, talks about and gets excited about food.
  • A competent communicator and ability to present to colleagues, peers and clients
  • Financial awareness and understanding of a food profit and loss account and articulate how to control food cost and generate a positive food margin.
  • Evidence of being organised and possess excellent planning skills
  • A basic food hygiene qualification
  • Proven ability to manage and lead a team of chefs
  • Expected to work all match days


Package Description

28,000pa - 30,000pa + great benefits

Location: Brighton and Hove Albion Football Club

Permanent

Work Pattern - 40hrs pw 5/7 early starts and late finishes so flexibility required
